Express Entry

Express Entry is one of the most popular programs to immigrate permanently to Canada. It is an online system to manage skilled worker immigration applications. Express Entry oversees three federal economic immigration programs:
Canadian Experience Class
Federal Skilled Worker Program
Federal Skilled Trades Program

Candidates must meet the basic eligibility criteria for one of the above programs in order to create their online profile and to be eligible to enter into the Express Entry Pool.

Language proficiency, education, work experience, age, arranged employment, provincial nomination, adaptability and other criteria are used to determine a candidate’s eligibility and score.

Candidates are ranked electronically in the Express Entry pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System.

Qualified candidates who are ranked above the minimum points score during the round of invitations will be invited to submit their application for permanent residence within 60 days.

The permanent residence application will then be processed within the next 6 months.

The score needed to apply for permanent residence may change with each draw. Even if you do not get selected in a specific draw, your profile still remains active in the pool for one year.

Given the lengthy application process and strict timelines to submit documents, it is vital to avoid any mistakes that could result in additional delays or rejection. An experienced immigration consultant is an asset to assist and guide you through the procedure.
